been awhile

I often think about blogging but I never seem to get here
part of the problem is the state of my office and it is functioning at a very low rate
I have been for the last week been spending 1 one hour a day cleaning and I have one desk to clean to the point where I have spent some extra time today cleaning shelves that surround me.
In the past year I had lost a job, that had become very stressful me to the point where I gain all my weight back +20lbs. It was a relief to be away for the job but the prospect of being unemployed in a city with such high employment was daunting. This week I finally had a job interview and was able to get a part time job.... joy and creativity have filled my heart. More thing to follow about my new job

Halloween cards

my friends and I have decided to meet once a month and make cards we need related to that month
Since it was October we decided to make Halloween cards. I took inspiration from a few of my favorite designers and made them my own . I will show the original design and my own take on it.

scrapbooking

I am sitting here hoping inspiration will take hold so that I can finish these two scrapbooks......... the end is always very difficult for me. I struggle with journaling and worrying that I have missed a picture and on and on.....since I only have one child I do one album for every year ( I am working on 2000 and 2001), well I am off to find some inspiration.

confessions

I really have trouble saying no.......... to the detriment of my family and my own sanity
I have been spending the week really looking at all those things I have said yes to
and I have decided if it does not benefit me or my family it has to hit the pavement.
All things creative have made the cut....... yah hoo( mostly because they benifit my sanity
I took on the Sunday school directorship because my daughter begged to have a better class, but instead of helping her I ended up running around after others and doing nothing to benefit my child's religious upbringing. unfortunatly most things to do with my church have hit the pavement. I need to just be there in the service and not worry about anything. I guess I need to be feed as they say
I have decided to stay on the home and school becasue I really feel I can make a difference there......... come on I put a smart board in every class room. I rock!!

well that is my rant.......... I am hoping this gives more time to talk to you
and after a year I might actually finish this quilt
